Greetings from Redwood Elementary

Where we are working together to make a difference! Our school is a place where children are at the heart of everything we do. The Richland family is dedicated to providing quality work which is engaging, results in students learning meaningful content, and challenges every student to learn more. It is my job as principal to ensure that all our energies are focused on this vision and that our children develop the self-esteem and positive character needed to participate fully in our community of learners.

Mission Statement

"Believe, Achieve, and Succeed" and "What We Do Now, Determines Their Future" are the Mission Statements we use at Redwood Elementary School. These describe the attitudes of our staff, students, parents, and community. The Redwood Elementary staff is united in a common desire to see all children achieve their academic potential.  We are focused on eliminating the achievement gap and promote academic rigor for ALL students. 

School Profile
Redwood Elementary School lies in the central northwest section of the City of Shafter and serves students who reside north of Lerdo Highway and West of Central Valley Highway. Currently this school year, 2011-2012 we have a total of 1026 students in grades K-6. The school operates on a traditional school calendar. Redwood Elementary School is committed to providing a strong instructional program for all students to ensure excellence in education.
